I need to make a few updates on my family tree. Is someone still maintaining these?
I'm visiting LA and went to visit Home of Peace cemetery to see my grandmother's grave. It was interesting recognizing so many of the Sephardic names I see in this group all the time, made me feel really connected to this very special Rhodes community 💜
My cousin Ron Benveniste sent me this photo, from a plaque in the synagogue (I think Kahal Shalom).
A photo of my great, great grandparents (Miriam and Bension Fis) and their sons. Perished in Auschwitz. Does anyone else have a relation?

Does anyone recognize the people in these photos taken in Rhodes around 1971? Also, what are these ruins? I'd like to visit.
I know this dome is know at a resort now, but what was the original purpose? Does anyone know the history? I have pictures of my grandparents there in 1971, long before the resort.
I have noticed in many old photos that the Jews don't appear very observant (the men have no yarmulke or beard, women are not wearing head covers, many women are not wearing modest clothing). Does anyone have a sense if they were orthodox or not? It seems like they were very modern Jews.
Looking through photos of my grandparents (Al and Mary Hasson) on a trip to Rhodes, maybe late 60's or early 70's. I think they met up with family in Rhodes, curious if anyone recognizes faces in these pics (but I realize it's a long shot!).
